For anyone interested, this same watch (same piece) sold via Antiquorum's "Direct Bid" platform, in October 2010, for $3,770 ($4,140 with buyers premium) . . . I remember being the second place bidder, as described here -- http://chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/index.cgi?md=read;id=39099 "Direct Bid" was a short-lived Antiquorum platform for online-only auctions, for more moderate priced watches.
I am 99.9% certain that it is the very same watch, as I kept some file photos from October 2010 (and the fingerprints are the same, specifically, the scratch and dot on the tide dial).
This is not to suggest any impropriety -- just another instance of an Antiquorum buyer (in auction one) becoming an Antiquorum seller (in auction two). And once again, the seller in today's auction did very well!!
