A couple of years ago, I drove to Chattanooga for the second day (Sunday) of a two-day Regional. In a word, it was awful -- lots of clocks; lots of banged up watches; absolutely nothing even close to being a "buy" or a "find". By noon, the dealers were closing down their tables, and I was visiting the Tennessee Aquarium (which was probably worth the trip).
The advice here might be that the shows vary considerably and you always do better to get there early.

: I keep hearing there are tons of amazing, never
: seen rare NOS watches (BIG 70s Chronographs
: & Divers esp.) at these NAWCC Regional
: Shows for great prices that never make it to
: ebay. Then I also, hear that the night
: before the dealers walk around with $10k and
: sell to eachother so the next morning its
: all picked over. Was considering flying to
: Syracuse for the next one and fly out that
: same night....was told I can't digest it all
: in one day? Is this tru or member/dealer
: hype?
