A bit off topic but you should watch the HBO series Treme, written by the writers of The Wire. It's about post-Katrina New Orleans but the writers love for the music and the food (and the city) is what shines through. It got a lukewarm reception but I thought it was amazing.
PS : I've never been to New Orleans..so no comment on watch search.
