Re: Advice on a 3647 N for sale
In Response To: Advice on a 3647 N for sale ()

As the owner of an early 3647N, I will tell you that it's a fantastic Heuer and the piece being offered by European Watch looks to be in exceptional, original condition. Looking at some of the pieces that have been sold or have been offered for sale, they have had a number of issues when it comes to originality and condition. To find a complete and correct 3647N is not an easy feat and sourcing original replacement parts will be very difficult.

Is the price high? Who is to say? Does someone have a better example or even equal example for sale for less? Not that I have seen. I suppose that tells you quite a bit. It's easy to say something is overpriced but unless someone can point you to an equal example for markedly less, then maybe the price isn't so high??? It's for the buyer to decide, but I would always pay more for a clean, correct example than a piece with incorrect pushers, or a seconds hand that lost it's tail, like one of the examples in the links provided. That's just me though. Here's a pic of my 3647N for good measure:

Good luck in whatever you decide!

: Hello experts -
: As I am still learning more (thanks everybody), I was wondering if
: folks can give me any advice on the condition on this 3647 N
: http://www.europeanwatch.com/22516.html

: From what I have learned here things look OK to me. But I am still
: learning!
: I have a tough time also how to be able to tell if there was any
: polishing. And when or if the lume is original on these watches
: (maybe that doesn't matter?)
: Any advice on how to tell those, and on this watch would be
: appreciated.

: Thanks and happy new year all!
