Dear fellow Heueristi,

a while back the auction house Phillips announced a special sale dedicated to stainless steel chronographs from the golden days of Swiss watch manufacturing. Of course I expected the high end watches of Rolex, Patek, Omega and Universal Geneve and had little hope that they'd also include any Heuers.

But I happily noticed that my opinion was wrong, as the team around Aurel Bacs will have 4 Heuers in their 88 lot auction.

The most striking watch is without a doubt the Dark Lord (lot 42). It is described as the watch from Richards Monaco book from page 88. The estimate seems very moderate and I believe it would deserve to hit the upper estimate limit.

All other Heuer lots seem very random to me, with a nice V7736 Autavia in very good shape and low estimate. A Rindt with wrong crown, probably relumed hands but otherwise nice looking. Last but not least a black PVD Autavia in very good condition that is described as a military version issued to the IDF with the matching engravings on the outer case back.

It would be great to see one or two of the watches stay within the OTD community. So open your wallets and lift your hands at the right time...
