Re: Advice on this Carrera 2447 for sale

Personally, I thought these sort of questions were one of the main reasons for joining this forum. Discussing, learning, and at times asking for advice on pieces that you are looking at. I remember, a while ago, there use to be posts about how members should feel free to ask for advice without fear of other members trying to beat them to the sale. I haven't seen those in a while. The relative scarcity of these pieces and the market adjustments seems to have changed that dynamic. I am not judging, just acknowledging what seems like a newer reality.

Most of the lively discussions seem to be around pieces in the +15K range, as a majority of members are already priced out. Examples like the one you posted generate a lot of hushed excitement, but not much dialog until after the sale.

Anyway, it showed up on Hodinkee's radar this morning. Any chance it had of flying under the radar has long since passed.
