I had the same reaction regarding the 2446C GMT. We have seen some strength in these watches, but the increases have not been as dramatic as all the other manual-wind Autavias from the 1960s.
This seems to be a good, honest sample, with the nice early serial number and the bracelet is a real plus. Interesting to see the estimate at $10,000 to $15,000, as we have seen that these estimates tend to be conservative / low, in the recent auctions.
All of which makes me wonder whether this one will lead a breakout of the Autavia 2446C GMTs.

: Thanks for flagging, Jeff. I'll be most interested in the first
: two, but for different reasons. The 3646 isn't in the best
: condition, so I'll be curious to see if reason prevails in this
: one. The 2446C GMT, on the other hand, looks like a really nice
: Mk I example with early serial, so it'll be interesting to see
: where it ends up. I've found it odd that normal 2446C's are
: starting to break the $9K mark regularly in private sales, yet
: you can still find 2446C GMTs for a couple grand less than that.
: I find them to be beautiful and still under-appreciated up to
: this point.
