A workaround for PB problems

Firefox users can add a plugin that will not trigger PB's detector for a foreign site. Go to Add-ons and install "Referrer Control". This adds a green widget next to "Menu" on the info bar, and use its option to set the rule to "Target host". Doesn't affect Imgur or other picture hosting services that I have found so far. No guarantees though obviously.

Chrome browser has a similar plugin (not tested) and there suggestions that Internet Explorer may have one (and suggestions that it doesn't...).
