This dial sold today on eBay for $2,250. Here's the listing -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/122647937445
The logo is for the magazine "Competition Press and Autoweek", which is profiled here -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autoweek. The logo incorporates the black-and-white checked helmet of Jean Behra, who raced motorcycles and automobiles, in the 1950s, before being killed at AVUS (Automobil-Verkehrs- und Übungsstraße), in 1959.
This seems to confirm that the presence of a logo on a dial does not suggest that it should sell as a premium, if the connection to motor sports is unknown. With this Competition Press / Autoweek, we don't know whether the watch was offered as a premium to magazine subscribers or whether it was awarded to the winner of an important race.
Or perhaps someone here knows more about these Carreras?
