Most Worn Quarantine Watch -- TAG Heuer Aquagraph 2000

This massive chronograph, sold by TAG Heuer in the early years of this century (circa 2003), has been my most worn watch during the current stay-at-home / shelter-in-place era.

For a couple of years, this has been my daily watch for the morning run – the center-mounted chronograph minute hand being a great feature when you are actually counting the minutes. And lately, I’ve been keeping it on for the rest of the day, as well.

Super legible, with the bright yellow chronograph hands and the arrow pointers at the ends; lume that glows like crazy; built like a tank . . . you'll know that you are wearing a watch.

The details – Aquagraph 2000, Reference CN211A; approximately 43 millimeters across the dial; 500 meter water resistance; it weighs in at 225 grams, with the full bracelet [that’s right, almost half a pound]; locking, unidirectional bezel; movement is the ETA 2892, with a Dubois-Depraz chronograph module attached (called the Calibre 60); 46 jewels; 45 hour power reserve. These originally sold for around $3,500; find them now in the $1,500 range.

Not vintage, but it will be soon. Highly recommended!!

So which watch or watches have you been wearing?

Jeff
