unsigned movement in a heuer......

recently on ebay i saw a 2446c gmt for a lowish buy it now price. it's already sold so i figured it would be okay to discuss it now?

anyways, it appeared to be almost nos....i mean a bezel with no scratches! really fantastic...the only flaw i saw....and i should say i'm not 100% sure it is a flaw? is the movement, a valjoux 724, wasn't signed heuer/leonidas at all?

here's what i'm curious about....if one had a signed bridge..and was able to put it on this unsigned movement...would it really matter? i mean, all valjoux 724's should be near equal, shouldn't they? did heuer do any modifications, to their's that a generic val 724 wouldn't have?

so what's your take on this issue...if the movement isn't a "heuer" does it ruin the watch....even if you were able to replace the bridge with a signed one? assuming of course that the bridge could be replaced?

in a strange way i'm weary of it...i mean logically it shouldn't matter at all...but this isn't exactly a logical hobby.

as always, thanks for any opinions/insights/etc!
