vintage Heuer?

I have an heirloom Heuer 2 register SS watch with the case # 66425. A local watch repair guy said that because of corrosion it was beyond economical repair-- big bucks! Another dealer-- one of those who advertises that they will buy any Heuer ( Rolex, Omega, etc. etc.) has expressed an interest and asked that I bring the watch in. Coments, anyone?
