Heuer (?) AMI Chrono, parts from DE and US Navy??


the Heuer chronographs issued to the Italian Air Force (AMI) are very scarce, and prices have increased recently.

So what do we think of this one -- Heuer AMI dial / German Day wheel / US Navy markings on the back? I doubt that the US Navy was buying these Heuers, with AMI dials and German Day-wheels. So what would the "donors" have been that were used to produce this one?
