AUTAVIA Silver Dial: two versions

After some investigation into dial differences I observed the following difference with the 11630 silver dial version:

a) the "straight end - black framed marker" version: fully illumed:

b) the "illumed end - black top marker " version: only outside end illumed:

You can do some statistics via either onthedash.com or heuerautavia.com and you will observe the following results:

- The black top markers you only observe with the jo siffert dials (despite the early version chronomatic which are in accordance with the 1163 MH!) and with the scare white dial version 11630 (orange hands).

- The black frame markers or similar style (like white frame markers) you see a lot in the 11063 V series; there are two examples in the cal 15 series using white frame too. However the only example doing black is the green 11063 V military (reference 111.603)

So from emphiric (and not more) I believe the black frame silver dial version is a later model than the black top one.

I am still convinced that both are only available with the 11630 case, but that the black frame version was later.

happy new year
