My Variation on Your Idea -- Anything Black

Ralf:

This is a very interesting suggestion, but I would suggest a variation that would also make it more educational. We should start with a "primer" -- one of our experts describing the differences between

  • PVD
  • Black Anodized Aluminum
  • Black Chrome

Perhaps out "teacher" would even tell us which finish / material Heuer used on the various timepieces (Monaco, Monza, Montreal, 510 series, etc.).

Then readers could post photos of any black timepiece -- PVD, Black Chrome or Anodized Aluminum. I don't think I own any PVD timepieces, but maybe I do. I definitely have some Anodized Aluminum pieces (IFR and Master Times).

Great suggestion.

Jeff
