Some help from the vintage Navitimer experts please?

I am struggling a to add another legit Autavia to my collection, so I would like to get a Navitimer while the world economy is struggling.

Here are a couple of candidates and I would really appreciate some feedback. I know that there are definitely some vintage fried egg experts lurking around.

Here's the first one...an 1808 Navitimer: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230312355198

Here's the second one...an 1806 Navitimer: http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=4136807&rid=0

Please chime in with any comments, red flags, etc.

Also - Suggest some of the do's/don'ts when shopping for a vintage Navitimer.

Thanks a bunch,

John
