1940's Heuer Chrono Cousin

I'm particularly drawn to the purity of design which exists in the Chronographs from the 1940's, and Jeff's recent posting of the 2447 section prompted me to post a note about this recent arrival. Powered by a v72, and at 35mm across the case, it has many similar characteristics to the Heuer. The dial is a very light sepia color, and though actually colored the same, the sunken sub dials take on a lighter or darker hue depending on the angle. The tiny concentric grooves of the dials are playing with the light, though it's difficult to capture on camera. All of the hands are of a very dark brown, while the sub dial markings and their delicate outer rings are black. Perhaps it qualifies as a poor man's 2447.

Thanks,

Jim
