Unfortunately, the watch could well well less than USD10,000 in the US yet still cost STG6500 in the UK. Tag- and everyone else- don't price the same all over the world and just adjust for currency. The UK is notoriously expensive. When I lived there (albeit two years ago- and the world has changed), a new Tag Heuer Autavia cost around STG2000 (A$5000)- yet I could buy the same watch new in Australia for A$2500-3000.

The bottom line is (or was), you are better off jumping on a plane to New York, booking yourself into a nice hotel, drop into a Steakhouse and buy your new Tag at a US AD for about the same price as buying from your local UK AD.

Now, the drop in the sterling would have changed this equation, but my point is you shouldn't expect prices to make logical sense!!
