On the basis that Heuer used the English (and German, but considering it was often paired with "Automatic" I went with English) spelling of "Chronograph" on other dials and probably wouldn't go on to misspell "Chronographe" if they did use the French version, I'd have to say that one was a redial. The Silverstone script is sans-serif too.
