thanks Mark--unfortunately the overzealous watchmaker who worked on the case wasn't aware of the serial number. This happened to me with a Calculator as well--and my watchmaker had the same watch!!

I can't beleve how many people in the industry are unaware of the value of having an intact serial number--ou would think by the time you are good enought to work on a vintage Heuer you would have respect for the basics.
