Vintage Breitling Forum ? ? ? Or Maybe ChronoTools ? ? ?
In Response To: Re: 1200 MM ()

Yes, Jeff is ready to open the vintage Breitling forum . . . All we need is:

  • the belief that there is adequate demand for such a forum,
  • that this demand is currently not being served,
  • a knowledgeable, dedicated, trustworthy person to serve as moderator (or maybe multiple moderators)

So is there a consensus that the world needs another vintage Breitling forum? It has been my understanding that the Breitling Watch Source -- Vintage Breitling Forum is meeting the needs of the community of vintage Breitling collectors, so why bother creating a rival forum where none is needed? When I have posted questions on that forum, I received great responses. In my view, it is counterproductive to have forums created that will take traffic from existing forums, but not have enough traffic to be strong, on their own.

Maybe the better effort here would be to promote / support the ChronoTools forum, which has never really gotten off the ground? I believe that this ChronoTools forum would represent a better contribution to the vintage chrono collectors' community than a second vintage Breitling forum.

So does our community want a vintage Breilting discussion forum?

Jeff
