Hello GV, between the lugs on the small bar top of the strap housing. On both sides reference and serial number, engraveing is very light. Be careful as there were nos 2nd quality cases of Montreals and Autavias floating around few years ago. Most of these had no numbering and the dials no silver frame around the date window. On the black PVD there are no numbers visible as coating is very thick.
I can supply photos next time going to the bank safe.
