Re: Prices remain strong on all things Siffert

Darren, all correct parts on this one, h subreg 1 to 12, blue tipped hands, cal 12 dates it around 1972. A decent price for somebody who holds parts, propably this one will show up again recased with a 72 viceroy case (most of the Derek Bells or Sifferts after end of 1971 had Viceroy signed cases as a huge patch was ordered for the Viceroy promotion from two suppliers, you can identify these time period by the cutouts of the pusher housings, see photo in my book page 66 right, the numbers of original bezeled MHs is very low and production ceased as the trade jumped on the much cheaper Viceroy same watch mit Tachy bezel) and sell for 4000 + then..

Cheers

Arno

: Here's a recent eBay listing for Siffert parts :- dial/hands/crown
: & movement that sold at US$2247.

: I was not a bidder in this auction.
: Its worth pointing out that the seller neglected to attatch the
: name Siffert to the heading thus reducing the number of
: potential bidders.
: The dial is in nice but not perfect condition, the seconds hand has
: lost some of its blue colour at the centre point and the 30 min
: chronograph hand has lost some paint.

: Fair value??? Its not often we see this kind of thing offered. What
: do you think?
