Excellent Analogy: Vintage Heuers Have Done Much Better

interesting analogy and a memorable saying (Q and A) for us.

at least over the past one year / five years, it is probably fair to say that the vintage Heuers have performed far better than the New York real estate market, so maybe we will be OK even without living to age 80.

It is interesting to consider which will be worth more in 10 (or 30) years:

  • Monaco 40th anniversary limited edition (purchased at $7,900, here in the US);
  • nice 1133B McQueen Monaco (currently purchased at $7,900, for purposes of this discussion); or
  • any $7,900 Panerai, Bell & Ross, Hublot or whatever other modern production watch is thought to be "hot" right now.

Fun to ponder and discuss these questions!

: Q: How do you get rich owning real estate in New York?
: A: live into your 80s

: Thus it is with watches. What will be interesting is to see how
: values track in 30 or 40 years with the explosion/comeback of
: the industry. How will a Bell and Ross, for example, be regarded
: in 2025?
