Re: Welcome to VetroPlastica (Italian Vintage Heuer Forum)

Thank you Jeff for the introduction and your kind words, onthedash is the mother of a fast growing community !

There is so much passion for vintage heuers out in the market and what makes me very happy is that the key players are aligned working hand in hand.

There is no other source in the world sharing so much essential information for collectors than onthedash.

I have the feeling all is coming together nicely, we have a lot of press attention and many good tools are in place.

I am really impressed daily how much enthusiasm is created by GVM on VP. It is a new essential sparke to the european community.

The heuer portfolio is just fantastic, state of the art case designs, amazing dial variations, the link to the hey days of motorsport and technical inventions are very strong multiplicators.

Jeff we have come a long way together and I am very much looking forward to many future projects together.

It is a great honor for me to participate onthedash, I feel the time has come to enjoy the fruits of hard work building the vintage heuer brand...

Cheers

Arno

: With apologies for the delay, let me take a minute to introduce
: "VetroPlastica" and its vintage Heuer discussion
: forum.

: Let's start at the beginning: www.VetroPlastica.it is a
: website dedicated to vintage Rolex watches. There, you will find
: excellent information on the vintage Rolex sport watches --
: Submariner, Sea-Dweller, Milgauss, Turn-O-Graph, etc.
: "VetroPlastica" means "plastic crystal",
: which we know is one of the hallmarks of our beloved vintage
: watches of the 50's and 60's (before the sapphire crystals). So
: that is the main section of VetroPlastic, a database of
: information about the vintage Rolex watches. Think of this as
: the OnTheDash for the vintage Rolexes.

: In addition to its informational sections, VetroPlastica has a
: series of discussion forums . There are forums dedicated to
: vintage Rolex and vintage watches, in general, and a few months
: ago they started a vintage Heuer discussion forum . These
: forums are primarily in Italian, but it seems that postings in
: English are welcomed. The participants are very passionate about
: their Heuers, and the forum is very lively.

: Perhaps the vintage Heuer discussion forum Moderators will
: introduce themselves over here . . . in addition to Arno,
: moderators include Gianvittorio and Paolo. Maybe some other
: participants will also say "hello" and tell us about
: themselves (in English or in Italian).

: I believe that the VetroPlastica vintage Heuer discussion forum and
: the Chronocentric vintage Heuer discussion forum will do very
: well together, and make good contributions to each other.
: Already, we share some photos, some information, some links,
: etc. Yes, we share the same passion for the Heuers, so it is
: great to share some of these other elements that make this
: community such a great place!! The VetroPlastica crowd has also
: created an owners club, which will have its first meeting (in
: Italy) this Friday evening.

: I hope that all our readers will enjoy the VetroPlastica vintage
: Heuer forum and that the VetroPlastica guys will also
: participate in this Chronocentric forum and in OnTheDash.

: Welcome to all the Italian Heuer enthusiasts!!

: Jeff
