Full service/restoration *PIC*

Hi guys,

I recently bought an Autavia 73663. I know it has the wrong inner bezel. The case has been badly polished and the bottom of the lugs was polished off for some reason. The condition is not at its best, the screws that holds the movement to the plate is rusted and one of them is missing. So if you wiggle the watch you can actually hear a knocking sound. I had a reputable local watchmaker open the back and he said it needs a total overhaul. He doesnt have the parts to replace the case, crown, bezel, crystal, pushers, hands, chrono hands but he would be able to remake the parts for the movement if needed to. The quote I got from him is USD850 (600 EURO) for the overhaul.

The questions are, would it be better if I send this watch to Tag Heuer Swiss instead? Are they able to replace the parts mentioned above? What would the cost be? Really appreciate if someone can help me with these questions.

Thank you in advance.
Faizal
