i'm CHUFFED, vintage chrono acquisition - not a Heuer, but..

figure the chrono-crowd would appreciate this pickup: late '60s Longines chrono-diver w/ valjoux 72. i find it...sublime. the perfect amount of patina for a +40 year old watch -- seems as if much of that time was spent in a time-capsule. it's ostensibly a diver, and the crown seals still feel "draggy" like they could still withstand some water pressure (not that i'd be so stupid). big 44mm case gives it modern proportions. i'm chuffed, i say, chuffed!!!

here's the heuer connection: it has some similar aesthetics and proportions to this modern TAG-Heuer Autavia re-issue, which i loved the look but loathed the flawed utility of it lacking a 12-hr register...which i how have w/ the Longines' valjoux 72!
