There has been worldwide interest in Barack Obama's watches, specifically the TAG-Heuer Series 1500 Two-Tone (circa 1990) and the Jorg Gray Series 6500, Secret Service Chronograph (circa 2007). OnTheDash has received millions of hits (literally) on the "Obama's Watches" webpage.

All along, I knew that there was a third watch -- a plastic sports-style digital watch -- which he wore on the beach, on vacation or at other very casual events. I assumed that it was some kind of Casio, Timex or Nike sports watch, and I was never terribly interested spending any time in identifying the watch. Well, a few days ago, I came across a high resoultion photo of the watch, and decided to try to identify it.

Now I am pleased to report that we have identified his third watch, the "Highgear Enduro Compass Watch". I will write more later, but wanted to post this quickly.

It's an $80 MSRP watch; currently available on close-out basis, at around $30.
