Indeed they did:

Check the first two watches out (and how similar they are to the Carrera 30 next to them!). These are often referred to as the "economy" watches, typically using chromed base metal cases rather than the steel of the Carrera and were available as a number of different models from the late 60s through the late 70s. Sometimes they get passed off as Carreras, but one of the best ways to tell is the shape of the lugs on the case - look at the picture again and you'll see that the economy watch's are a bit simpler than those of the Carrera.
