Dashboard Timepiece in Porsche ? ? ?

This dashboard timer has been shown on some of the Porsche discussion forums, but I have never seen any details regarding (a) who made it, or (b) how it is operated (start-stop-reset-etc.). Until we learn more, I will assume that it is just a pretty face on an electronic clock . . . but it is interesting to imagine how the chrono might be operated. I suppose that if someone is willing to invest enough, such a fully-operational, one-off piece can be produced.

: That didn't work for some reason. Google Image "Singer 911
