In Response To: Re: Carrera 18 K on ebay ()

No Arno, I didn't buy it.
Someone, a real gentleman..., catch it before another friend kept it for me.
I like it as automobilia collector, but not like watch to wear.
In fact, the seller have a lot of difficoult to give this watch in a convention...
Try to take out a Siffert, a Silverstone or a Monaco in the same place and people catch it in few minutes!
It' isn't true that the watch was in bad condition!
I've fluted pushers, crown and with 150 Euros you can obtain a perfect restore of the case (gold is very, very easy then steel!!!!).

The real price on the market of this watch, in my opinion, is 2500-3000 Euros. Not more.

On Chrono 24 another golden Carrera was offered to me under 3000 Euros in perfect conditions.

I think it's important to buy the watches at the right price and tell to all persons who touch Heuer for the first time a real value, not prieces out of the market!

: Bullit did you buy it ? Guess 1700 e would have been a great
: oppurtunity...
: Cheers
