Here is a Warning Received from a Reader
In Response To: Re: Gray Dial BUCHERER Monaco ()

Here is a message that one of our readers sent to me, regarding this watch. Prospective bidders might do well, to do some homework / due diligence on this one.

Hi Jeff, I was concerned about the interest that the On The Dash Contributors have about the Bucherer Monaco as I remember months back a similar one went up for sale and this same seller was also selling a Heuer Monaco. In the discussion some of the different contributors to On The Dash talked about how this was an individual you should not deal with. So I included a link to this past posting, hopefully you can see the relationship I see with the Bucherer Monaco being sold now on ebay with this past one. I think it is the same person again trying to sell it. Also what struck me was how they do not accept paypal through ebay and want to do a wire transfer. Here's the link to the ebay listing and the past On The Dash Posting about the seller. I just don't want to see anyone get ripped off by this individual.

: i think these are pretty cool!, ok the hands aren't as nice as
: "heuer"ones but lets not forget Bucherer is a high
: quality brand in its own right making this monaco better than
: the other non heuer branded monacos....also for collectors they
: are certainly different and a talking point. Alot of these
: watches get the heuer re-dial treatment so these seem to be
: getting rarer and rarer. just hope it doesnt happen to this one.
