Germany was bright and sharp in the counter, but I think the (ungiven) goal would have tilted the match in England's favor. Football is a sport of massive momentum swings that come from goals--in effect, a goal not given is worth two--generally it is too much for even the best teams to overcome.

The decisions to give and not give goals from phantom fouls, offisides, and patently obvious issues of physics, have been beyond frustrating!
