Maybe not year zero, but certainly a new age for Heuer was 1962 - the year they put the name of a watch series (Autavia, in this case) on the dial.

It wasn't even the first time they had done it - Datemasters and Solunars had had their names proclaimed on the dials in the 50s and I believe the dash-mounts had them from launch in the 30s, albeit not as prominently.

But it was the first time they did it with such commitment and went on to create many more series of named watches over the next 20 years, in probably the golden age of Heuer collecting. I suspect the vast majority of our collections come from this period and consist of these named watches - with the exception of some of the Diver collections out there.
