Yep, "engine-turned" for me too.
Easily produced by using a disc of abrasive, (the desired diameter) bonded onto the end of a wooden dowel,
mounted in a drilling machine.
-A little grinding paste can also help.
The trick is getting consistent pattern, so get lots of practice before you go the job!
"Frost Restoration" even sell a kit to do it.
