Here is a David's excellent posting on Calibre11.com, providing a detailed comparison of the McQueen Monacos, from circa 1972 and 2005. Interesting to see the similarities and differences. The differences from 1972 to 2005 are significant; I would say that TAG Heuer has also made huge progress, from 2005 to 2010, in the Monacos and other re-issues.
I am working on a side-by-side comparison of the vintage and modern Silverstones, so I particularly enjoyed David's approach to this subject.
