A Carrera 60ties question which puzzles me for years now..

Hi Collectors,

As a fan of the good old 60ties Carreras ( Dato 45, 2447 but also with two subs) I was wondering why we see so little two subdial versions ( Valjoux 7730) with two-tone dial ( silver on black or black in silver). For instance have a look at

http://www.onthedash.com/Guide/_Catalogs/1966_Brochure/ ,

with some great versions with 7730. Who has a clue? Were they sold in small quantities? In my entire collecting "career" I have never seen one. I checked the sites of many Heuer collectors but do not recall seeing one ever. Even Arno, does not seem to own one. Jeff as Carrera fan, do you own one??

Who has an explanation???

Have a nice weekend!
Ron
