Why would someone do such a thing??

: Let's see, we've got . . . a movement from the 1940s or 50s;
: dauphne hands probably date from the late 1950s; a nice
: selection of chrono needles "Leonidas" added to the
: "Heuer", inside the caseback, so it must be after
: 1964; case (with this style bezel bezel) is probably from the
: late 1960s a dial that fell in the eggs
: Value = the price of a few parts, that might be salvaged.
