I really need to spend some time updating that story as we know more about these watches now, thanks to the focus here at OTD and some information from Jack Heuer. Any comments on obvious errors?

I'd still love to know more about the origins of the watch- Jack Heuer says it was a Heuer design, but I'd love to know more about Monnin and the early days of 1000.
