Re: "It Makes No Sense, and We Love It All the More."

Hi Paolo,
would guess around 50 over the years, nos, you could even order another color pn dial at Rolex during the 70/80is.
If you bought a new PN they had to make sure to give you an exchange of your patinated dial, which is today an unsecurity factor on PNs.
You still can order different dials at Rolex for recent models, eg quite a few Milgauss had both dials ordered when new to exchange color.
Guess the number of PNs around has maybe tripled over the years ;-))
Cheers
Arno

: Arno, in 20 years of Rolex collecting i've never heard that Rolex
: has produced 'service PN dials'.
: Only service basic dials, very very different from vintage dials.
: More, how many genuine 3-color Oyster PN dial have you ever
: seen?

: Only thing i can't understand is the premium for the brown compared
: to the
: black: i would have bought the unfaded one...
