A Poor Investment

If I recall correctly, this was the Monte Carlo that sold for $3670 about a month ago, certainly an astounding amount. Apparently, it wasn't from someone who wanted it dearly, but rather someone who was under the impression that he got it for a song.

From his listing on the bay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/HEUER-MONTE-CARLO-TIMING-INSTRUMENT-RARE-3-BUTTON-/260700179200?pt=Pocket_Watches&hash=item3cb2f10b00

"Here is the rest of the story...serial number 15128...I just bought this on ebay from a person who purchased it from an estate sale. I believe this to be worth 10-20K or more...it has the orginal box, with insert. Please go to www.onthedash.com (Heuer) and research the item."

Is there something I haven't seen that suggests that this Monte Carlo is worth tens of thousands of dollars?
