A great review Jeff, and I am now assured that it is a great watch. I could have read that review by any other and been inclined to have a further look, but seeing as this review, of a modern day Tag Heuer, is written by yourself, the "further look" is very close to being a must have. Although I do not own a Carrera (yet) the simple lines with which the 1887 upholds from the Original(s), for me, is near to the perfect watch. Simply functionally beautiful. The only reason I cannot say it is perfect is, if it was, I would not have the reason to continue collecting timepieces.
On a broader note, you have done the Tag Heuer brand a great service. Prior to reading your review, I must say that I did not have a passion for a specific watch. That seed has now been sown. I'm certain I will not be the only one.
