For me, the easy answer is:

I just happened to take advantage of my vacation free time, some nice morning light, and a very rare snowfall here in metro Atlanta.

By coincidence, my four favorite watches were the subjects.

As with David's Omega, there is a slight over-representation of the Lemania 5100. It (and its 1340 variants) happens to be a perfect watch for me. As a teacher, the chronograph legibility is unmatched and Lemania movement robustness is justifiably legendary.
