We have the same train of thought here Paul

Where exactly do i start, i have a few topics to cover in the one posting - well i think i should firstly say great photo's Paul.
It seems we have much in common here in terms of style and taste.
I also saw Paolo's incredible early Autavia's in London and felt inspired to go for a nice "raw/rugged" look for a strap to go with my own 1st gen. 2446.
Then David D (the master himself of wrist shot photography), showed some of his own leather strap creations on the forum which i liked very much.
After a little communication, David kindly made a strap with rally holes for my Autavia. It arrived earlier this week and i can assure all of you on the forum that the stap is fantastic ! Its well made, super comfortable and gives exactly the look i was hoping to achieve, i haven't had it off the wrist since i fitted it - a big thankyou to you David.
My photo's dont do justice to the good work but as a salute to you Mr.D here we go.
On the wrist

Changing out the black strap in favour of the Mr.D creation

-: With nothing much else occupying my time these day but work,
: today’s arrivals were a brief but pleasant respite. Two hand
: made Italian straps from Jean Paul Menicucci via my good and
: very generous friend Paolo and one old boot expertly converted
: into a delightful watch strap by our very own David DeVos now
: grace some of my oldest and dearest Autavia’s. Each strap has
: its own unique character and for someone hooked on bracelets, I
: am amazed how comfortable they all are. I am converted and there
: is no turning back. Finally and as promised, I present my very
: first wrist shot as a thank you two the two guys and Jean Paul
: for making my day.
: Regards
: Paul Gavin
