Weird thing about that watch - for my 21st brithday (long time ago in the 80's) my parents bought me a Seiko Lassale, ultra thin, very minimalist dial. I never thought that watch had the slightest connection at all to Heuer...but it seems like it did! I'll have to post a photo tomorrow, so you can see the connection, but very similar design.

Interesting post anyway. Not exactly a Carrera, but it's not the worst watch (TAG)Heuer made - there were much worse monstrosities in the 90s...
