Funny how different people react to heights. When I was younger I had no issue whatsoever, but I have acquired more of a fear of heights since maybe my late 20s. In Francesco's position there, I would be nervous but I have no problem at all looking at the photo. Just a difference of degree I guess - I still go to, say, the Empire State observation deck and can take photos looking straight down without too much concern, though I really dislike it if someone walks close behind me while I have the camera up and am not holding on to anything! And no fear of flying at all, which is obviously higher again - though I think that is so high, the brain might stop seeing it as an issue of height altogether.
