John, i think with rare pieces, its not so easy to put a price on it, i'd say in 2011 you be very lucky to pick up a very good condition one for £4k, if all was correct about it. I don't believe you would be "over-paying" at £7500 for a very nice example, in fact for me i'd rather pay a bit more than market price to get the best one you can...as in the past i have found if you don't buy the best you can, sooner or later you only go looking for it!
