Yes, the hands are replacements. The ones on the earliest examples of the manual 2nd gen Carreras are the steel ones with black inserts familiar from the run-out models of the first generation.

The hands (in steel) are relatively readily available if the buyer wanted to get the watch straight, but bear in mind the pinion size of the 1153 hands might differ from those of the 73x53 models.
