Dear all, I am not that used to starting posts but this time I have a special reason: the free "Special DeVos" (as I have come to learn it is known among the cognoscenti!) that I was so lucky to win on the draw has finally arrived and has been mounted on my old Heuer 510.500, my 'default' watch. I thought it was enough for something special like a bonus edition of the WatchUWearing series :-)

The strap has brought a new life to the watch. It is usually worn on a metal bracelet but this suede tan strap gives it a real 'summer racing' flavour.
It will certainly be my holiday companion and - incredible as it may sound - it's even kind of enhanced my poor photographic skills - nothing Paul Gavin or Abel like of course, but a fairly decent shot IMHO.
But now let's go with some pics.

Finally a reflection that came to my mind this morning while driving to work: of all the watches I have, this is a real 'son' of the OtD community, a cooperative effort as:
- it's been materially been acquired through Jeff - without whom etc. - as the seller didn't want to ship outside the US
- it's been overhauled, serviced and customized by Abel
- and now, it's sporting a DeVos special one
