they are so easy to doubt though...

I'm with you Stewart - I was a doubter. And there is so much to doubt....the pushers look like replacements, the slanted hour markers look very Un-Heuer, the hands are odd etc. I suppose the date square and main chronograph hand are Heuer-like though, but not a lot else.

Of course, I'll bow to the experts and accept its authenticity - but still, its not pretty, is it?
